We’re excited to announce our next in-store event at the Rails of Sheffield Flagship Store on Chesterfield Road — and this time, we’re turning the shop into a mini model railway exhibition for the whole weekend.

Your Rails @ Rails Mini Exhibition takes place on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th September, running from 9am–5pm on both days, with FREE ENTRY throughout the weekend.

Taking place at our flagship store at 21–29 Chesterfield Road, Sheffield, S8 0RL, the event is designed to be a relaxed weekend of model railway inspiration, giving visitors the chance to see layouts in action, chat directly with the people behind them, browse some great pre-owned bargains and enjoy a bite to eat while they’re here. 

TWO EXHIBITION LAYOUTS ON SHOW

At the heart of the weekend will be two exhibition-quality model railway layouts, which will be on display and operating throughout both days.

Whether you’re looking for inspiration for your own layout, enjoy seeing high-quality modelling up close or simply fancy spending a few hours watching trains run, there’ll be plenty to see.

MEET THE BUILDERS

This isn’t just about viewing the layouts from a distance either. We’re running the event as an open house, giving you the opportunity to chat with the layout teams and find out more about how the railways were planned, built and operated.

You’ll also be able to speak to members of the Rails Expert teams, so it’s a great opportunity to ask questions, exchange ideas and pick up a few tips for your own modelling projects.

With a constantly changing selection of pre-owned locomotives, rolling stock, accessories and more available across a variety of gauges, it’s the perfect excuse to have a rummage and see what catches your eye.

And because no good exhibition day is complete without something to eat, Stoney’s Street Food will be joining us with a selection of BBQ favourites and snacks available from the Rails Café area.

Second Hand Sunday – Enhanced for the Event

Sunday is already one of our favourite days for pre-owned at Rails, but for the Autumn Extravaganza we’re making Second Hand Sunday even bigger.

We’ll have an enhanced offering of freshly processed pre-owned stock, giving Sunday visitors the chance to be among the first to browse some of the latest additions to our second-hand department.

Remember, many pre-owned items are one-offs – once somebody buys them, they’re gone!
