Last weekend saw one of the biggest model railway events of the year take place in Birmingham - the National Festival of Railway Modelling!

We were delighted to attend one of the flagship events of the year - with our big stand full of lovely exclusive samples. We've just released a video from inside the show featuring a whistle stop tour, and some fascinating interviews with various manufacturers in our industry - Rapido Trains UK, Heljan, Hornby, Revolution Trains, Clark Railworks and Accurascale!  We were able to get our hands on some new product smaples that haven't even been revealed online yet.

At the show, Heljan revealed a new edition of their forthcoming OO Gauge Class 42 'Warship' complete in this unique Deutsche Bundesbahn V200 livery. Limited to just 150 pieces in the entire production run - this model is likely to sell fast. Pre-orders are now open! 

Heljan also revealed decorated samples for the rest of the range of 'Warships' too - including some of our EXCLUSIVE models which replicate the early prototype vehicles. Here's a few teaser photos - but we're due to get these into our photo studios soon so stay tuned!

The team at Clark Railworks have revealed some frankly beautiful samples for the all-new OO Gauge WD Austerity 2-10-0 locomotive - including one of our exclusives 'North British' in plain black. We'll have plenty of photos of these uploaded next week so stay tuned!

Rapido also surprised us with these stunning new decorated samples of the USATC 'S160' 2-8-0 steam locomotive in OO Gauge - including one of our exclusives in Longmoor Military Railway blue! Stay tuned for further updates on these imposing models very soon.

Alongside this, Rapido also showed off the engineering samples for our EXCLUSIVE LB&SCR 4-Wheel and 6-Wheel Brake Vans in OO Gauge! These flew under the radar over the weekend - but again we'll have some more news and pictures for these soon.

Rapido also teased us with a little taste of one of their next big projects - another train pack in partnership with Studio Canal celebrating the iconic film... The Railway Children! Watch Rapido's preview video below and stay tuned for more news.

We also got to take a closer look at the highly anticipated new 'Police' liveried Railroad Class 37 in OO Gauge from our friends at Hornby - this running sample showcased the updated tooling with working police lamp and you can see it in action in our video above.
