Hornby have just revealed their latest batch of TT:120 Scale announcements for Q2 2026 - with plenty of exciting new items expected across the year, including some new toolings!

In perhaps one of their biggest TT:120 updates since the scale was inaugurated a few years back, Hornby have revealed a plentiful supply of new models including a newly tooled model of the iconic LMS 'Black 5' as well as the ever popular Class 30/31 diesel locomotive too. In terms of rolling stock, we've also got a newly tooled range of Sealion/ Seacow wagons available to pre-order alongside a range of all-new HBA/ HEA/ MEA wagons too.

Hornby are also supporting previous toolings with new liveries - with lots of exciting models set to arrive across most major eras and regions. Check out everything that's been announced below!

Firstly, Hornby have announced a newly tooled model of the iconic LMS Class 5MT 4-6-0 "Black 5" steam locomotive - now available for the first time ever in this growing scale! A total of three models have been revealed in this first batch including LMS black, BR black with early emblem and BR black with late crest liveried vehicles. All of these can be supplied DCC ready or DCC Sound Fitted. Expected November 2026.

Next up, Hornby have also introduced the ever-popular Class 30/ Class 31 diesel locomotive to their TT:120 Scale range for the first time! A total of four liveries are available in this first run including BR green with no yellow ends, BR blue, Railfreight 'Red Stripe' livery and BR Civil Engineers 'Dutch'. There are some DCC Sound Fitted models included here too - and we look forward to seeing more on this project soon! Expected TBC 2027.

Moving over to some new rolling stock, Hornby have tooled up a range of Seacow and Sealion wagons to provide you with some new opportunities to run exciting engineering trains! Choos from a range of Civil Engineers, Departmental black and EWS liveried wagons - available as singles or handy triple packs. Expected December 2026.

Also newly tooled for TT:120 Scale this year is a comprehensive range of HBA/ HEA hopper wagons (including later MEA conversions too)! Lots of liveries and eras to choose from including BR bauxite, BR railfreight red & grey, EWS maroon and Railfreight Coal Sector livery. Available as singles or useful triple packs where applicable. Expected January 2027.

Hornby have also introduced a new run of LBSCR Class A1 Terrier 0-6-0T steam locomotives and accompanying 4-wheel generic coaches too! The iconic 'Stepney' is included for the first time ever in the range alongside new LSWR green and Isle of Wight Central Railway red models - which both come with a respective train of coaches to add on. Expected Late 2026 - Early 2027.

As part of this announcement Hornby have also revealed a new edition of the Class 43 HST and accompanying coaches in the striking First Great Western green and gold colour scheme! All the relevant vehicles are included here to build an accurate HST of any length you wish. The power cars chosen for this set including 43136 and 43189 'Railway Heritage Trust'. Expected September 2026.
