The Scenecraft Single Road Servicing Shed is modelled on a structure found at Peterborough, but in reality this model could have been located pretty much anywhere around the UK from the mid-twentieth century onwards. Used commonly for diesel locomotives, servicing sheds like this provide covered accommodation where locomotives can be stabled and serviced locally without the need to return to major depots for routine maintenance.
