Replacing traditional tension-lock couplers, these low-profile alternatives enhance
realism while maintaining a secure connection over gradients and complex trackwork.

(Rusty Rails Modelling) in North Wales, ensuring consistent quality and attention

• Strong Magnetic Hold: Fitted with ultra-strong N52 neodymium magnets (3 mm
× 2 mm) for a secure and reliable connection under normal operating loads.
• Universal Fit: Designed for standard NEM sockets, allowing quick and easy
installation across a wide range of locomotives and rolling stock.
Three Length Options:
o 8 mm – closer, more prototypical spacing (best on wider curves)
o 10 mm – extra clearance for tighter curves and standard layouts
o Fixed - This is for making a semi-semi permanent coupling, or for use on
the end of a consist
Installation & Compatibility
Installation is simple—push the coupling shaft into a standard NEM socket until firmly
seated.
Suitable for most modern rolling stock with NEM pockets
• Not compatible with step-down connectors (e.g. Bachmann Mk1 coaches), as
contact with the chassis may cause friction and reduce performance
Polarity Guidance
Correct polarity is essential for proper operation. Each coupling has a small moulded
bolt indicator near the magnet.
• Align indicators consistently across your fleet so magnets attract rather than
repel
• Use a standard orientation (e.g. all indicators facing the same side) for full
compatibility between stock
