The F / A-18 Hornet succeeds the legendary F-14 Tomcat in the movie "Top Gun: Maverick". More than 30 years after the predecessor, Tom Cruise again takes control of the stick as Pete "Maverick" Mitchell. This time, however, he is sitting in the cockpit of the current carrier-based fighter plane of the US Navy.
