Rapido Trains UK unveils more liveries for classic Great Western Railway metal-bodied van.
We should really call our next batch of GWR Dia. V6 ‘Iron Mink’ as ‘Not Quite Minks’. Many other railway companies produced metal-bodied vans. These vans shared a family-look with the GWR’s ‘Iron Mink’. These vans often wore often eye-catching liveries. So close were they to the GWR’s vans that we are going to apply those liveries to our GWR ‘Iron Mink’ in order to create some equally eye-catching models.
We will use our suite of ‘Iron Mink’ parts to get as close to the prototype van as possible but accept that they will not be 100% historically accurate. But we’re confident that offering pre-Grouping liveries ready-to-run will negate any slight historical inaccuracies.
