You have been treated to this VW replica in1:76 Scale a while back and it’s great to have it available again in 1:148 scale. Its fascinating background has an unusual link to the world of pop music as any Beatles fan will realise. If you are the proud owner of their Abbey Road album, you may already have noticed the record sleeve featuring a white VW Beetle parked in the background of the shot with the Fab Four on the famous zebra crossing to the Abbey Road Studios.
Further immortalised by Oxford Diecast, our latest release is that exact vehicle, registered LMW 281F from 1967/68. It is decorated in its original Lotus White colour scheme with black interior and chrome exterior finish and don’t overlook a final detail which sees the black running boards edged with silver.
