Oxford Diecast 87FA60001 1960 Ford Falcon Ranchero Monte Carlo Red/Corinthian White

The very attractive 1960 Ford Falcon Ranchero is based on the model on the second generation of the Ford vehicle manufactured between  1960 and 1965, which in real life was much smaller than its 1957 first generation predecessor. It was a very economical vehicle with a 2.4L straight 6 engine and there was an option of a three speed manual gearbox or a two-speed automatic. The Falcon Ranchero went through further modifications before ceasing production in 1979 but it always retained its 2-door coupé utility status and remained popular with over half a million being made.

For its first outing, the Falcon Ranchero is decorated in bright red with white masked roof and lots of chrome to the bodywork. The Ford name features on the bonnet and boot with the Ranchero marque printed in silver above the front wheel arch. The whitewall tyres have red inserts to match the body with silver hubs. Interior seating and dashboard are moulded in deep red and our launch model is registered 13250 – U in Ohio, 1960.
