This is a model of a slag car as used in many steel plants to transport slag or also molten steel. The paint scheme and lettering are correct for its use, including appropriate weathering. The hopper can be emptied digitally. Length over the buffers 32 cm / 12-5/8“.
Such cars are used in steel plants for the transport of slag, but also for liquid crude iron. Their massive and heavy construction is a clue to the use of these cars. In most cases these cars are grimy from their special use. Such cars as a rule are used only within the steel plan. They are not seen on the tracks of the state railroads.
