The LMS 20t Brake Van joins the TT:120 range as a brand-new model for 2026! These highly detailed 20T brake vans will cover ‘as-built’ LMS examples as well as those constructed during BR in the 1950’s. 

Sporting numerous separate fitted parts, and featuring crisply moulded planked bodyshells, these roomy brake vans are ideal for partnering with your freight rolling stock. TT6091 depicts No. M732350 in BR bauxite livery.

History:

Under BR, these LMS design 20-ton brake vans were turned-out in a plain brown livery with the vehicle number, weight and other details picked out in white on the body sides. 

Measuring 24ft-long, with a wheelbase of 16ft, the design was so successful that BR continued to build them, this example being one of the later examples, of which 1,320 were built by BR between 1949 and 1950.
