History:
Ideal for steam-era layouts based in the 1950s and ‘60s, through the BR ‘corporate’ era until the 1980s, these double-door, unfitted steel-bodied wagons were built between 1950 and 1952, with a total of 2,500 initially produced for BR.
The ‘MDO’ was succeeded by the ‘MDV’ and ‘MDW’ versions, eventually totalling almost 14,000 wagons. The triple-pack features three of the original ‘MDO’ wagons, each with a different running number.
