Product Description

Joining the TT:120 range this October is an all-new model of the Mark 2F Restaurant First Buffet, the perfect accompaniment to existing rakes of Mk2F coaches in need of catering facilities.

The Mk2F RFB first entered service in the late 1980’s after conversion from surplus Mk2F First Open coaches, allowing for long distance Cross Country and InterCity trains to serve refreshments to customers. Based on our highly detailed Mk2F tooling, these new range of catering vehicles are a must have for your diesel-era layout.

TT4090 represents No.M1212 Mk2F RFB in retro BR Blue & Grey livery, as operated by West Coast Railways.

History:

The Mk2F coaches were the final development of the Mk2 coach family, BR’s second generation of standard coach design. They featured air conditioning and plastic interior panelling, a new style of seating and tinted windows. Initially just three types were built, but some of the First Opens were later converted to Restaurant First Buffet cars.
