Product Description

"Being a Railroad product, this TEA tanker, finished in Shell's corporate livery and carrying a small TLF Petrol sector decal, is a durable, free-running wagon, perfect for those looking to bolster their wagon fleet at an affordable price.

History:

Introduced in the late 1960s, the TEA bogie tank wagon was designed to transport large volumes of hazardous liquids between refineries, ports and storage terminals.

Built in their hundreds from the 1960s through to the 1980s in both 100-ton and 102-ton variants, with updated versions following in the 1990s and 2000s, many remain in service today.

Often marshalled in long rakes and hauled by powerful BR locomotives such as the Class 37 and Class 60, these distinctive tankers became a familiar sight across the network."
