Product Description

The first locomotive built under the 1955 British Transport Commission's modernisation plan, D5500 hauled mainline services out of London Liverpool Street.

Renumbered to 31018 under the TOPS system in 1974, and withdrawn in 1976;
(D5500 can now be found within the National Railway Museum.)
