History

I.C.I Bogie Hopper Wagon. Introduced in 1936 to transport limestone from the quarries in the Peak District of Derbyshire to Northwich, Cheshire for the production of chemicals for I.C.I. The wagons were manufactured by Charles Roberts & Co. Ltd of Wakefield & where used with many of the Steam locomotives and also through the years used also with many diesel/electric locomotives also. Scrapped in 2001.
