Product Description
TORTOISE Slow Motion Point Motor (12Pack)
Details:
The CIRCUITRON Tortoise™ Slow Motion Switch Machine is a precision-engineered turnout motor designed to deliver smooth, prototypical point control across all model railway scales from Z to G. Built around a low-current, stall-motor design, it provides reliable, long-life operation without the need for cutoff contacts or complex mechanical linkages.
Its enclosed gear-drive mechanism ensures consistent pressure on switch blades, resulting in dependable electrical contact and realistic slow-motion turnout movement.
The Tortoise™ uses a precision gear-drive system that maintains constant tension on the switch points, improving electrical reliability and reducing mechanical wear. Unlike screw-driven systems, its enclosed construction ensures long-term stability and resistance to dust and misalignment.
The unit includes two sets of SPDT auxiliary contacts, enabling direct control of frog polarity, signal aspects, or accessory circuits without additional switching hardware. This simplifies wiring and reduces installation complexity.
It is also suitable for operating grade crossing gates and semaphore signals, making it a versatile solution for both turnout control and animated scenic features.
Designed for ultra-simple mounting, the mechanism requires no external brackets or linkage systems, and includes an adjustable fulcrum to suit all scales from Z to G.
A drilling template is available to assist with installation of this motor.
