The Circuitron DT-4 Quad Optical Detection Circuit is a versatile train detection system designed to monitor rolling stock movement and location throughout a model railway layout. Using Circuitron's proven opto-electronic detection technology, each detection channel senses when a locomotive, coach or freight car blocks ambient light from its corresponding Opto-Sensor. No modifications to rolling stock are required, allowing the DT-4 to detect both powered and unpowered vehicles in any scale with complete reliability.
