As is tradition with Rapido its time for the end of month announcements and updates! This is a HUGE update of new train pack, steam and rolling stock reveals! This month is an announcement that has been teased by Rapido on social media and today is the day to announce fully and open up for pre orders! Today they are incredibly proud to announce 'The Railway Children' OO Gauge Train Pack from the beloved 1970s film. Alongside this train pack Rapido are also to release locomotive star of the movie to the range in its real-world guises. The L&Y Class 25 'Ironclad' 0-6-0 which is the first Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Loco done by Rapido in OO Gauge. OO Gauge RAILWAY CHILDREN TRAIN PACK ANNOUNCED
Today Rapido are incredibly proud to announce 'The Railway Children' OO Gauge Train Pack from the beloved 1970s film.
Following the hugely popular 'The Titfield Thunderbolt' and the to forthcoming Ivor The Engine, Rapido Trains UK are to produce another locomotive based on a popular and well known railway movie 'The Railway Children'!
The film was released in the 1970s 'The Railway Children' is an enchanting children's novel written by Edith Nesbit in 1906. The story follows Peter, Phyllis and Bobbie. They pass the time by waving at trains which were often hauled by the a locomotive they dubbed 'The Green Dragon', which of course is the locomotive to be released in this train pack.
The highly detailed and fully licensed OO Gauge 'The Railway Children' Train Pack will be available either DCC Ready or DCC Sound Fitted and packed with features. The DCC Sound Fitted versions of the pack also upgrade
'The Green Dragon' to include a full range of sounds and dialogue from the original motion picture. This is in addition to the detailed sound file from the locomotive itself. The train packs will also include full-colour 3-D printed figures of the movies main characters Peter, Phyllis and Bobbie produced exclusively for this pack by Modelu. OO GAUGE L&YR CLASS 25 0-6-0 ANNOUNCED
As stated at the start of this email Rapido will also be releasing a new range of brand newly tooled L&YR Class 25 'Ironclad' 0-6-0 Steam Locomotives!
These are announced alongside 'The Railway Children' Train Packs as it is the locomotive star of the film, with Rapido also now releasing the range in real life guises.
The L&YR Class 25 'Ironclad' 0-6-0 is available to pre order in a variety of liveries, including two that represent it during different periods of its preservation history. Smooth running along with the usual Rapido steam loco features like firebox flicker of course will be provided. For modellers who prefer etched brass numbers plates, Rapido will include painted plates appropriate to the relevant version in the detail bag.

OO GAUGE WD 'RECTANK' WAGONS ANNOUNCED
Moving onto the rolling stock announcements, Rapido have announced a new range of War Department 35 Ton 'Rectank' Bogie Flat Wagons in OO Gauge!
The 35-ton War Department Rectank wagon was a heavy-duty British railway wagon designed for military use, primarily the transportation of military vehicles in the latter stages of the First World War.
“Rectank” is short for “Rectangular Tank”, referring to the wagon’s flat, reinforced design built specifically to carry heavy military vehicles—especially tanks. These wagons proved invaluable in civilian service too, being used by a number of pre-grouping and Big 4 companies and surviving into the 1960s in BR use. This new tooling will be released with the usual wealth of external and underframe detail featuring numerous tooling variations. Detail differences within the range include jack mounts, jacks on the end and centres, chain boxes and much more!
Each model features a detailed load that is appropriate to the era; these include a covered Great War Tank, steel girders, ingot moulds, wagon wheels and flanged pipes. Meaning you can replace them with any load of your choosing.

LNER C12 ENGINEERING SAMPLES
Rapido previously showed off pictures of the 3D samples of the LNER C12 locomotives at National Festival of Railway Modelling, which were very well received!
With engineering samples we expect a similar response! There are quite a few tooling variations throughout the range. These samples will be on display at upcoming events on Rapido's stand!

OO GAUGE GCR WAGONS ENGINEERING SAMPLES
A recently announced range the GCR Dia. 17b Vans has progressed quite quickly with engineering samples already available to view.
These samples really highlight the the details of the wagons nicely, giving you a greater insight into the attention to detail that Rapido have put into the underframes and separately fitted parts.

| To pair along with 'Gordon Highlander' and acting as an encore to the highly regarded "Jones Goods" - Rapido last month showed off the engineering samples of their all new OO Gauge Highland Railway 'Loch Class' 4-4-0 locomotive too! This locomotive expands Rapido's Scottish range to include a new passenger locomotive which gives you the option to run trains that aren't just freights! There are plenty of eye catching liveries available so we can't wait to see decorated samples in the future.
