NEW ANNOUNCEMENT

Revolution Trains is teaming up with Locomotion and Rails of Sheffield to offer 66788 Locomotion 15 in GBRf livery as part of the new Railway Icons range.

66788 was named in September 2019 to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the opening of Locomotion in Shildon, partner museum to the National Railway Museum in York and home to a large number of historic railway items from the national collection.

Revolution’s new Class 66 locomotive, launched today, will feature the very latest in detailing, light and sound features, and the tooling allows for 66788 to be correctly depicted as a former EWS locomotive 66238 acquired by GBRf in 2018.

Revolution’s Ben Ando said: “As enthusiasts we support the work done at Shildon, especially in recording the vital role the railways have played in moving freight, and we are delighted to be able to offer a model of a locomotive named in Locomotion’s honour.

Sarah Price, Head of Locomotion, said “The naming of ‘Locomotion 15’ in 2019 was a wonderful way to celebrate the museum on our 15th anniversary, so I am looking forward to seeing the engine brought to life in miniature.”

Stuart Brown of Locomotion said: “We are thrilled to be working with Revolution Trains for the first time on the first N-Gauge model in the Railway Icons range.”

The model will feature accurate details including swinghead buckeye coupler and control lever, loco location beacon on the horn grille and original BMAC design lights. It will not have the distinctive driver cab mirrors as these have been removed by GBRf.

It is priced at £159.95 DCC Ready or £254.95 with DCC Sound, and is available to pre-order exclusively from Locomotion and Rails of Sheffield.

Just a £30.00 deposit is required when pre ordering. Models are expected to go into production after Chinese New Year and be released Q3 2024.
This particular locomotive will have a very very short run, with only limited numbers to be available
