Accurascale have announced the return of their hugely-popular and high specification Class 92 electric locomotives in OO Gauge!
The new range captures the varied careers of these dual-voltage locomotives, each model faithfully reproducing liveries and details from across their service lives, including Railfreight grey, GBRf (ex-Europorte), Railfreight Distribution (European), EWS maroon & gold and Caledonian Sleeper examples.

Key Model Enhancements
Building on customer feedback and experience from the first production run, Accurascale has introduced several refinements to the Class 92, including:
- Improved Grille Detailing – greater depth behind etched mesh to conceal PCBs and enhance realism.
- Etched “Polo Mint” Discs – finely produced etched embellishments now available as separate detail parts where applicable, with printed representations on the bodyside to act as templates for accurate fitting or a 2D representation of the polo mints, depending on the preference of the modeller.
- Refined Bogies – enhanced detailing for improved authenticity.
- New Sound Project – developed in-house to deliver a richer and more accurate audio experience.

Prototype Information
The Class 92 is a dual-voltage electric locomotive, which is capable of drawing power from either overhead lines or a third rail. They were specifically designed to operate services through the Channel Tunnel between Britain and France but they have also seen use on other services in the UK and Europe since then. The class was intended as a mixed-traffic loco for use on international freight and the ill-fated ‘Nightstar’ sleeper service but were used near exclusively for freight work until 2015, when they began passenger operations as part of the Caledonian Sleeper fleet. The entire fleet survives to this day, with some now exported for use in Europe.
