Last weekend, we were honoured to be a small part of The Greatest Gathering , the flagship event of the Railway 200 celebrations in 2025  - which was the largest-ever gathering of historic & modern trains and rail-related exhibits. 

We were delighted to be a part of the show's Model Railway Village and it was a pleasure to see thousands of visitors over the weekend. At the show we had time to showcase many of the exhibits on view and also caught up with some of our friends in the industry to compare their latest product samples to the real-life vehicles on display at the show.

Over the weekend, various manufacturers had  new project updates  to share with us that we were able to get photos of for you! Check out the latest news below...

Cavalex  provided us with a sneak preview of this  3D printed sample  of their  newly announced OO Gauge Class 47!  This gives you an early indication as to the sheer level of incredible detail that they are packing into these new locomotives.

Meanwhile on the Hornby stand we were able to get a preview of the  decorated samples  for their  highly anticipated TT:120 Scale Class A1/ A1X 'Terrier' 0-6-0T steam locomotives  and accompanying  4-wheel coaches  in LBSCR, SR and BR liveries.

We also got to check out the  decorated samples  of  Clark Railworks' recently announced 'Prestwin' Silo wagons in OO Gauge!  Available as triple packs in a variety of BR pre-TOPS and post-TOPS conditions.

The wait is nearly over! Our  EXCLUSIVE newly tooled Accurascale OO Gauge Class 89 electric locomotives  are set to arrive in stock this week. It was lovely to see the real  89001 'Avocet'  on display just outside the Model Railway Village as part of the 'Electric Avenue' display.

At the event, we also got to take a closer look at these  updated engineering samples  of the  all-new Heljan OO Gauge Class 42 'Warship' diesel locomotive  - including our  EXCLUSIVE example depicting the prototype batch.

Heljan  also showed us their latest engineering sample for their  all-new OO Gauge Class 153 DMU , as well as the decorated samples of the  O Gauge version!  The latter models are expected to arrive in stock in the next few months, with the OO ones coming in 2026.

Last but not least, while we were there we just had to get a picture of our  EXCLUSIVE Dapol OO Gauge Class 88 bi-mode locomotive  with it's bigger sister!
