It's the end of the month and that means it's time for another major update from Rapido Trains UK!  

Today we've got plenty of updates for you and we also wanted to make you aware of various order book deadlines closing soon - as now is the key time to place your preorders!

The order books close next week for these three major new projects in OO Gauge and N Gauge! After  Monday 28th July , stocks will be strictly limited so we highly recommend you place a pre-order now to ensure your models are secured. In particular, Ivor the Engine is not likely to be produced again in the future - so now is the time to act! Rapido's business model is built around pre-orders – they don't make a lot of extra stock – so please take note of the order deadlines.

Rapido Trains UK have just revealed the first engineering samples for their hotly anticipated GWR 'County' Class 4-6-0 steam locomotive in OO Gauge!  The range features models fitted with single and double chimneys, varying oil pipes, different name plate lengths and loads of other subtle details. These samples weight a whopping 430g which should help these models to be amazing performers!

Next up, Rapido have just received new decorated samples for their all-new range of GWR Class 44xx 'Small Prairie' 2-6-2T steam locomotives in OO Gauge! If you’ve already grabbed a bunch of Rapido's GWR wagons, or one of our beautiful B-Sets, then this lovely little loco is going to be right at home at the head of your train.

The newly tooled range of OO Gauge SECR Class O1 0-6-0 steam locomotives has now completed production and the models are on their way to the UK! All being well, these models are still expected to arrive in stock during Q3 2025.  Shown here is one of the latest production samples which is looking very nice indeed!

With the SECR Class O1s now on the way, two more steam locomotive ranges have now moved into production at the factory - the diminutive Port of Par Bagnall 0-4-0STs and the Andrew Barclay Fireless locomotives. Both of these ranges are nearly complete and could start shipping to the UK any day now!
