Huge savings available across the entire range of Heljan's OO Gauge Class 07 Shunters! 8 different models are now available at up to 55% off their RRP while stocks last.

These fantastic models feature exquisite detailing with a fully modelled and painted interior, a 6-pin DCC interface, working lights and sprung buffers.

The Class 07s were built to replace the famous 'USA' 0-6-0T steam locomotives in use at Southampton Docks. These plucky shunters plied their trade here until the late-1970s and were then sold into private industrial use around the UK - so these models are perfect for those modelling dockyard shunting or industrial scenes.

Prototype Information

Class 07

The BR Class 07 were diesel-electric dock shunters built by Ruston & Hornsby in 1962. 14 were built to work at Southampton Docks, replacing the SR USA steam locomotives. The class were short-lived under BR, being retired in 1977 and passing into industrial use. This was due in part to a notorious issue whereby the axle-boxes would run hot at speed. A total of 7 made it into preservation with the other half being scrapped.
