Heljan Announce 2022 Range!

Heljan have announced a huge amount of new ranges, all expected to be released during 2022-2023. These announcements include various reruns and new liveries of existing popular ranges! The announcements cover both OO and O gauge. All new Class 37/0 and Class 55 Deltic's are coming in O Gauge. Return of previously popular models such as the Class 35 Hymek's in OO and O Gauge wagons 35T Class B and 'Catfish' and 'Dogfish'. See the highlights of the announcements below. VIEW HERE Heljan OO Gauge Class 33/1

Several new liveries are on the way in both 33/1 and 33/2 varieties. The 33/1 was a sub-class converted for push-pull duties between Bournemouth and Weymouth in 1966/67 and ended up being used on other SR freight and passenger services.
The 33/2 returns to the range after several years. The 'Slim Jims' were the narrow variant that were built to work on the Tonbridge-Hastings line. As with the 33/1, the 33/2 widened their sphere of influence in later years.
All new models have also been upgraded to LED lights and a 21-pin DCC interface.

VIEW HERE Heljan OO Gauge Class 35 Hymek

Regarded as the most successful of the Western Region diesel-hydraulic types, these versatile and capable Type 3s worked all kinds of trains from named expresses to local goods and ran across much of southern England, the West Midlands and Wales until the mid-1970s.
This new batch of upgraded models will feature a 21-pin DCC interface and improved LED lighting functions.

VIEW HERE Heljan OO Gauge GWR Diesel Railcars

Due in 2022 is a new version of the AEC Parcels Railcar as well as new liveries of the passenger version. The GWR built these 'razor edge' bodied versions between 1940-42 which remained in service until the early 1960s.
These models features separately switchable headlamps, tail lights, saloon and cab lamps, and a fully detailed interior.

VIEW HERE Heljan O Gauge Class 37/0

In response to customer demand Heljan are producing the original 37/0 variant with split headcode panels and post 1970s cutaway buffer cowlings. There are a number of improvements over earlier releases, including sharper detail, plug-and-play DCC interface, switchable interior and exterior lighting, and a wider choice of detail options. The later-built centre headcode version is in development for future release.

Marking the 40th anniversary of their retirement in January 1982, Heljan's retooled model is designed to accomodate two 'earth mover' speakers and two smoke units for that unforgettable 'Deltic' effect. Other new features include a plug-and-play DCC interface, interior detail and lighting, and authentic detail variations for later period Class 55s.

The Mk 1 was British Railways' standard passenger coach introduced in 1951, with many still in service today on charter operators and preserved railways. The range is the perfect companion for Heljan O Scale 27s, 31s, 33s, 37s, 40s, 47s, and 50s. 2022 will see the release of new livery versions of the General Utility Van and Brake Gangways variety.

VIEW HERE Heljan O Gauge Catfish & Dogfish Ballast Hoppers

There are new liveries on the way for both the Catfish and Dogfish Hopper Wagons. Metro-Cammell built 6 batches of the small Catfish ballast hopper wagons for BR between 1954 and 1961, totalling 716. The Dogfish was fitted with centre and side doors, allowing ballast to be dropped between the rails or to either side. A total of 1,249 of this type were built under Diagram 1/587.
