Setting sail for Dieppe on 30 March 1878, the locomotive was exhibited in the Exhibition's Machinery Hall between May and November, gaining a Gold Medal in the process. On its return to England, a commemorative panel was added to the side tanks and aside from its normal duties, Brighton was also used for a number of Stroudley's experimental fittings, right up until its sale to the IWCR in January 1902.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Hornby","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":42193243111615,"sku":"HOR-R3845-PO","price":99.5,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0225\/2858\/9896\/products\/IMG_4550_2010-07-20_4b9aec85-5194-4d2a-b1b4-adb18c1b0fb1.jpg?v=1674475347","url":"https:\/\/railsofsheffield.com\/products\/pre-owned-b-scr-terrier-0-6-0t-no-40-brighton-steam-locomotive","provider":"Rails of Sheffield","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
