The brickwork and timber effect applied to the outside of the Tavern Car was removed from the ‘Dolphin’ in March 1951, while the Composite Restaurant Car was rebuilt with full depth windows in April 1951 – the last to be converted – as the high-level narrow windows were unpopular with diners. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTavern Car No. 7894 continued in service from 1951 paired with Composite Restaurant No. 7833 which had been paired with the ‘White Horse’ from new.
