It became 47076 under TOPs, then was reclassified as a 47\/4 in November 1984, when it became 47625. In the 1990s, it became part of the RES pool for operating mail and parcels trains and, in November 1995, was modified to 47\/7b, with longer-range fuel tanks and equipment for operating with a propelling control vehicle (PCV).
