The open box design was loaded and unloaded using grab machines or electro-magnets and the wagons entered traffic in a bold blue and yellow colour scheme. Built by Standard Wagon and owned privately by Standard Railfreight, in 1990 British Rail purchased the fleet of 191 wagons upon which they were recoded as SSA under the Total Operations Processing System (TOPS).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Bachmann Branchline model boasts an injection moulded bodyshell with separately fitted ladders on either side.
