A definitive model of the English Electric Class 37 has been a long time coming. Accurascale is proud to bring this stalwart of over six decades of service to 4mm scale modellers in a multitude of different builder, era and locomotive-specific options. Accurascale’s initial focus will be on the very beginning and the current era, bookending the careers of these locomotives. This will consist of the first of these charismatic locomotives in service, and the 37/6 variant. Both variants feature specific details never replicated in previous generation ready-to-run Class 37s.

Accurascale will take its experience and technology for other locomotive projects such as the Class 55 Delitc, the Class 92 Electric and sister brand IRM’s Irish Outline ‘A Class’ locomotive and apply its same top standards to produce the ultimate class 37. This will include all wheel drive, helical hearing, full and accurate lighting packages as per prototypes, stay-alive powerpack to provide excellent performance over dirty track, large 5 pole centrally mounted can motor with twin flywheels and a heavy metal chassis with heavy metal thrash provided by ESU Loksound 5 and twin speaker arrangements in sound variants.
